Numet Engineering Ltd. specializes in the design and supply of custom systems and equipment for the nuclear industry. For more than three decades Numet has combined its nuclear approved quality programs with it’s engineering and manufacturing expertise to produce new and innovative solutions for a wide variety of demanding nuclear applications. The company is not only an ASME N-stamp accredited facility, but also an experienced remote handling system designer and supplier. Thousands of systems and components have been provided for new reactor construction, maintenance and upgrading of existing nuclear generating stations, as well as for the handling and process of nuclear wastes. If it’s nuclear, it’s Numet. If it doesn’t exist, we’ll develop it.
Process Equipment
We are ASME Code experts, and have the expertise, qualifications and experience to provide pressure boundary equipment to meet the most rigorous nuclear requirements. From small process components to fully automated process systems, the equipment comes fully tested, fully certified, and suitable for whatever nuclear environment it is destined for.
Remote Handling Equipment
From miniature tools to large remote controlled systems, Numet designs equipment to meet your specific project requirements. If we haven’t built it before, we’ve probably built something similar. We rely on our experience with hundreds of custom systems and tools to determine what must be analyzed, and / or what must be first prototyped to ensure that the equipment functions as intended once fabricated; our systems are subjected to full functional testing before they leave our shop.
Specialty Equipment
Nuclear is a unique industry with unique equipment requirements. For specialty tasks, specialty equipment must be developed. Numet’s expertise is in the proven engineering development principles that it employs. The process may lead to cutting edge high technology, or simple primitive mechanisms, but it will be the most practical and low risk option for the equipment requirement.
Engineering Services
The engineering skills that we have developed for the supply of our own custom nuclear systems and equipment, can be provided to support your project at any stage of its development. We can provide concept design, design review, prototype development, engineering analysis or manufacturing drawings, for any nuclear application. We can work on our own or work with your people; whatever suits your project’s needs.
OEM Equipment Supply
Original equipment manufacturers lose qualifications, lose expertise, or go out of business. An important and growing area of Numet business is the supply of this OEM replacement equipment to keep aging reactors running in accordance with their original design specifications. Whether it’s code reconciliation, reverse engineering and re-registration, commercial grade dedication, or simply quality program application or oversight, Numet finds a path to provide the replacement equipment that nuclear generating stations need.
