Position title: Quality Assurance Representative

Responsibilities include:

• Interpret customer product specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards, and develop detailed quality assurance documents (ITPs, procedures) to ensure the products meet the specification requirements.
• Perform vendor evaluations, audits, and quality surveillance activities in support of procurement and manufacturing, and prepare detailed reports. Travel is generally restricted to central and southern Ontario.
• Provide incoming material verification and QA documentation review.
• Control and disburse materials.
• Witness NDE and testing, and verify test reports.
• Interface with various suppliers, client inspectors and regulatory authorities.
• Prepare final deliverable documentation packages for products.

• Experience and/or background in interpretation of quality assurance programs and standards (NQA-1, CSA Z299, ISO)...ASME Sec III (Nuclear) experience preferred.
• Experience and/or background in auditing practices.
• Application of quality assurance practices to manufacturing of low volume, custom designed components and equipment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes for shop fabrication (e.g. machining, welding, heat treatment).
• Knowledge of application of NDE processes.
• Graduate of a college level QA technology program preferred.
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills required.
