Position title: Quality Assurance Representative
Department: Various
Responsibilities include:
- Interpret customer product specifications, drawings, and applicable codes and standards, and develop detailed quality assurance documents (ITPs, procedures) to ensure the products meet the specification requirements.
- Perform vendor evaluations, audits, and quality surveillance activities in support of procurement and manufacturing, and prepare detailed reports. Travel is generally restricted to central and southern Ontario.
- Provide incoming material verification and QA documentation review.
- Control and disburse materials.
- Witness NDE and testing, and verify test reports.
- Interface with various suppliers, client inspectors and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare final deliverable documentation packages for products.
Skills:
- Experience and/or background in interpretation of quality assurance programs and standards (NQA-1, CSA Z299, ISO)...ASME Sec III (Nuclear) experience preferred.
- Experience and/or background in auditing practices.
- Application of quality assurance practices to manufacturing of low volume, custom designed components and equipment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing procedures and processes for shop fabrication (e.g. machining, welding, heat treatment).
- Knowledge of application of NDE processes.
- Graduate of a college level QA technology program preferred.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills required.
