Codes & Quality Programs
Numet Quality Assurance Programs
Project execution using high level quality assurance programs is the common element to all services that Numet provides. Numet is an ASME N-Stamp accredited facility for the design and supply of nuclear pressure vessels and components. Our QA programs available therefore include all of the stringent requirements of ASME/ANSI NQA-1, and it supplements. These demanding quality program requirements are implemented on nuclear projects involving a wide range of products and services. In addition to satisfying ASME NQA-1, Numet’s quality program structure is set-up for easy adaptation to a variety of other commonly required quality programs. Our QA programs are regularly audited by institutions such as,
- The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
- The Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA), the National Board qualified body responsible for Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety in Ontario.
- The CANDU Procurement Audit Committee, CANPAC, a body developed for the joint benefit of Canadian CANDU owners as well as by such clients as Ontario Power Generation, Atomic Energy Canada Limited, and numerous US Department of Energy prime contractors.
To aid in the implementation of our Quality Program, Numet has over 55 established "Special Process Procedures" to control such activities as Non-Destructive Examination (VT, UT, PT, RT, MT), Assembly, Testing (Hydrostatic/Pneumatic), Cleaning, Painting, Preparation for Shipment, etc. Numet also has more than 32 in-house Weld Procedures for a variety of exotic materials that are registered in accordance with ASME Sec. IX.
Numet personnel are quality program experts. No project has QA requirements that are beyond the experience and capabilities of our programs and staff.
